The Cannon River Watershed Partnership (CRWP) Board of Directors will host a reception for Gordon Cumming to recognize his service as Executive Director of CRWP. The public is invited to come to the CRWP office at 8997 Eaves Avenue, Northfield, on Thursday, October 13, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Mr. Cumming has accepted a position in Corvallis, Oregon, and plans to leave CRWP at the end of October.
CRWP is a non-profit organization whose mission is to protect and improve the surface and groundwater and natural systems of the Cannon River watershed, an area of nearly 1 million acres drained by the Cannon River. Its current projects include creating recommendations to reduce phosphorus inputs to Lake Byllesby and excess erosion throughout the watershed.
Eaves Avenue leads North from Highway 19 at the exit for the Northfield Hospital, the office is in St. Olaf College?s James Farm building. For further information, call CRWP at 507-646-8400.
