Live Improv Comedy Inspired by the True Stories of RVA Celebrities.
The RCC is teaming up with local personalities to present their brand new all-improvised monthly show series, RICHMOND FAMOUS.
Every 2nd Friday listen to true, never-before-told stories from RVA celebs. Then watch the improvisers of the Coalition rip those stories open, yank out the delicious center, and present you with a high-energy barrage of scenes and charac...ters based on what they heard.
...It’s like the UCB’s popular ASSSSCAT show, except with a much higher chance you’ll run into the guest stars at a bar the next night.
This month, the RCC welcomes Jeff Kelley, Editor of Tobacco Ave, to the Gallery5 stage.
A lifelong writer and nighttime assassin, Jeff Kelley is a former business reporter at the Richmond Times-Dispatch, now working in mass communications. In 2007 he founded Tobacco Avenue, a satirical news site centered on the city and twice recognized as Richmond’s best blog. He is a senior strategist at Feedback, a digital media company, and his tweets at @jephkelley appear regularly on Michael Ian Black’s Black List on WitStream.com. He would drink eggnog year–round if it was available.
