Ray LaMontagne, a French-Canadian, made his musical presence known around Boston in the '60s heading up the house band at the famous blues club, Joe's Place. Blues musicians often traveled alone and used pickup-, or house-bands for their concerts, so Lamontagne enjoyed a rich sampling of blues history from players like Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Hound Dog Taylor, and others. Tristan Prettyman is a San Diego area singer-songwriter.
