World Premiere! RAY CHARLES - LIVE IN FRANCE 1961, 2011, Reelin’ in the Years Productions, 105 min. Lost for 50 years, these newly discovered concerts were filmed at the 1961 Antibes Jazz Festival in France and present Ray Charles in his prime with the original Raelettes and his legendary band. These initial European concerts opened the door for Charles to become one of America’s most revered international stars. Panel discussion following with director David Peck, producer Tom Gulotta, Ray Charles catalog authority James Austin and York University associate professor of ethnomusicology, Rob Bowman, moderated by Ray Charles' biographer David Ritz.
