A special Parade of Dedication in memory of Ranger Cyril Smith QGM, unique in itself as Cyril is the only Royal Irish Ranger ever to be honoured so highly. The laying of a new commemorative stone in his hometown is paying tribute not only to his parents Bernie and Cyril, but in recognition of his bravery in saving the lives of so many and disregarding his own, therefore receiving the Queen’s Gallantry Medal. The Parade will depart from Carrickfergus Harbour Car Park at 1pm and will finish at the Memorial Garden at Joymount where a special dedication will take place. Following the dedication, the parade will move off again and will finish at Carrickfergus Town Hall where the Brewery Boys will play. Organised by the Royal Irish Rangers.
