Living legend Ralph Stanley shaped post- war American music with the Stanley Brothers, and recently was re-introduced to the world via his indelible a cappella rendition of “O Death” on the “O Brother! Where Art Thou?” soundtrack. Nashville’s family-band sensation Cherryholmes is led by bearded patriarch Jere and mandolinist mom Jenny Lee, joined by their kids Cia Leigh (banjo), B.J. (fiddle), Skip (mandolin) and Kate (fiddle). Mixing old-time chops and new-attitude spins, the group has become the top-selling bluegrass band with three acclaimed albums and irrepressible live concerts.
