Artist Ralf Ziervogel was born in Clausthal-Zellerfeld, German, in 1975. He lives and works in Berlin. Ziervogel's lush, panoramic drawings depict scenes of chaos and brutality in a world that combines Hieronymus Bosch-like imagery and medieval torture devices with contemporary brand names and logos, such as Adidas and Looney Tunes. His narratives refer to contemporary consumption and suggest a morally bankrupt world in which mass marketing creates collective hysteria.
