Raise the Sails Gala August 26, 2010

Enjoy a night of dancing, music, hors d'oeuvers, and top shelf cocktails from an open bar on August 26th at Community Boating Incorporated's annual fundraiser. Join us at the premier Liberty Hotel Ballroom for the Raise the Sails Gala all while raising money in support of Community Boating's youth and adaptive sailing programs. Attendees are automatically entered in a chance to win a variety of door prizes. Try your luck and enter our raffle to win anything from a pair of round trip tickets to AirTran Airways to the destination of your choice, a private chartered Duck Tour, or a nights stay at the luxurious Liberty Hotel.

Once the Charles Street Jail, this converted hotel is situated in the heart of Beacon Hill and is the sponsor and host of this event. The generosity of the Liberty Hotel ensures that all of the proceeds of this event will directly support our Junior and Universal Access Programs.

Community Boating offers sailing for all in our Junior and Universal Access programs. Any area youth age 10 to 18 with proof of swimming are given the opportunity to sail for 10 weeks in the summer for only one dollar. The Universal Access Program, with the help of dedicated staff and customized boats, gives those who need special attention or assistance a chance to experience an afternoon, learning the art of sailing or a therapeutic boat ride along the Charles River.

The event will be held on Thursday August 26th at 6:30 pm. Tickets for this memorable evening are $100 in advance and are available at Community Boating's front office or on our website, and $125 at the door.
