Rainy Day: The Sounds Of The Paisley Underground May 27, 2007

Sonic Cathedral opens at The Social for a very special bank holiday weekend ceremony on Sunday May 27. Rainy Day: The Sounds Of The Paisley Underground celebrates one of our favourite musical scenes of the 1980s, LA’s psychedelic Paisley Underground scene that made stars out of bands such as The Rain Parade and The Dream Syndicate. We will be showing some classic film footage from the era and DJs will be playing songs that inspired and were inspired by the scene. Playing live are the legendary Sid Griffin, frontman of one of the Paisley Underground’s leading lights The Long Ryders, alongside Philadelphia psychedelicists The Asteroid #4 and some very special guests who will be revealed on the day.
