At Sweetbriar Nature Center's Rainforest you'll discover the importance of preserving the forest and all its natural wonders and resources. Follow the stone path through the forest and experience different sights, smells and sounds. Travel over the wooden bridge to explore the animals and plants living by the water below. Mammals and reptiles are all found in the rainforest. Discover what other types of creatures live on the forest floor, understory, canopy, and emergent layer. You will find over 100 real and life like animals hidden among the trees in the forest. Real animals include a boa constrictor, an iguana, macaws and an actual working ant farm. Interactive activities are hidden around the forest.
