The Rail Readers Book Club meets at the Las Cruces Railroad Museum on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 11:00 am. On June 9 we will discuss “Mrs. Jefferies in the Nick of Time,” written by Emily Brightwell.
Behind every good man is a better woman…and in this case, behind the competent Inspector Gerald Witherspoon is his extremely competent housekeeper, Mrs. Jeffries. The Inspector is investigating the murder of railroad fanatic Francis Humphreys. Many members of his family will benefit from his death, and all are keeping secrets. Mrs. Jeffries and her staff come to the rescue, assuming alternate identities and striking up friendships with Humphreys’ household staff. The secrets they discover will help the Inspector solve the case, and prevent another murder.
Please R.S.V.P. by calling 647-4480. The museum is located at 351 N. Mesilla Street, at the intersection of Las Cruces Ave.
