Ragassa was formed because of Tom Reichert's love for music that makes him twist and turn. This includes sounds developed outside of western twelve tone music. The guitars in this duo use unconventional tunings, therefore creating melodies a bit more primitive than the average western instrument. Indigenous to north India, the tabla can create melodic patterns and sounds unlike any percussion instrument known to man. This density of sound gives a soloist more of a cushion to leave space and float over like a cloud dancing on a vast ever changing landscape
