Racing To The Stars & Stripes July 3, 2009

A horse racing/live music/fireworks tripleheader! Enjoy live horse races from 6:00 to 9:45 PM, followed by a patriotic trackside concert and fireworks at 10:15 PM, which will be launched from a new location this year---between the two infield lakes! 



For best viewing, we've created a new area called the "Blast Zone" --- reserved umbrella tables for 4 right next to the dirt track with a birds eye view of the fireworks! The "Blast Zone" tables are $40, and include the umbrella table with 4 seats, 4 hot dog vouchers, 4 soft drink vouchers, and 4 "hard hats".

This weekend will also be a Tribute to the Richmond Braves! Since there is no baseball at the Diamond this summer and thus no fireworks nights there, we are inviting all Braves fans to Colonial Downs and here's the best part. Anybody wearing Richmond Braves apparel (hat, shirt, jersey, etc) will get an entry form to win a trip to Gwinnett, Georgia to see the new AAA Braves team play ---- trip courtesy of Air Tran.
