Rabbit Research Collective: Conférénce Danse
@ Alliance Française de San Francisco
Saturday, August 23, 8:00pm
Encore performance Tuesday, August 26, 8:00pm
From Vertigo comes "Vertige." Rabbit Research, an emerging collective of dancers, musicians, artists, and choreographers from Chambery, France premieres their dynamic, sensual, avant-garde performance of "Vertige" (Vertigo) on the Alliance Francaise de San Francisco stage.
Dancers Emilie Camacho (France) and Corine Englander (U.S.) present an evening of dance video, live dance, description and discovery of the creative process from A to Z. Three short films unravel the choreographic process of the theme "la chute" (falling); the basis for "Vertigo", followed by "Vertige" performed by Camacho and Englander. Culminating in an open discussion with the audience in English and/or in French (for those who want to practice their French and translation will be provided for those who do not speak the language).
Rabbit Research dancers have received nods from various French media and the New York Times.
