R.L. Stine, Ann M. Martin + more top authors sign young adult book What You Wish For October 17, 2011

Seven of the contributors to What You Wish For (ISBN 9780399254543) will be signing:

R.L. Stine (Goosebumps, Fear Street); Ann M. Martin (The Baby-sitters Club, Newbery Honor for A Corner of the Universe); Karen Hesse (Newbery Medal for Out of the Dust, MacArthur Fellow); Marilyn Nelson (Former Poet Laureate of CT, Newbery Honoree, 3-time National Book Award Finalist, Carver: A Life in Poems); Jeanne DuPrau (The City of Ember, ALA Notable Children's Book); Sofia Quintero (Efrain's Secret, Parents' Choice Award); Nate Powell, graphic novelist (Swallow Me Whole, Eisner & Ignatz Award Winner).

What You Wish For, ages 12+, is a new collection of short stories and poems about wishes. Book Wish Foundation organized the collection to help raise funds to establish libraries in Darfuri refugee camps in Chad. The authors contributed their work free of charge, and Book Wish Foundation will donate 100% of its proceeds to the UN Refugee Agency, UNHCR, for the refugee camp libraries.

What You Wish For receives a starred review in the Oct. 1 issue of the American Library Association's Booklist Magazine.
