General Info

QARS potlucks occur occasionally. They are one of the best ways to meet like minded people, socialize, and participate in a free exchange of ideas. Potlucks provide a fantastic opportunity to taste a variety of delicious entrees and desserts, try new foods, and exchange recipes. QARS is a welcoming and inclusive community for everyone. Invite your friends to expose them to new ideas and great food.

What to Bring

If you are bringing a dish of food, make a large portioned recipe that is designed to serve six people (there is never a shortage of hungry people at these events!). There are plenty of great vegetarian recipe books that can help you out with ideas. Beverages are always necessary and are an easy alternative to cooking or baking. If you are bringing a beverage, a large carton or jug of juice or water will work very well. Please bring your own cutlery and plates, glasses, etc.

Dishes should be free of animal meat (including fish and chicken), Bring a small piece of paper with a list of potential allergens (nuts, wheat, etc.) to place beside your dish.
Stoves and a microwave are available if your food needs to be warmed. Since this is a family-friendly event, and after-dinner educational events require clear attention, all beverages should be non-alcoholic.
Compost and recycling is available for leftovers.

Clean-Up

Please consider staying after each event to help with clean-up. It can take several people several hours, or it can take all of us only 30 minutes!
