Next class October 22, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Recession? Phooey! "When life gives you scraps, make quilts!" Give a gift of love this holiday season - made of scraps. Even a "designed" quilt requires only a small amount of cotton fabric. In this series of four 2-hour classes, Jackie Rutan will demonstrate all necessary techniques to make a beautiful quilt in holiday colors, using the machine-piecing patchwork style. Students will be encouraged to work on their own quilts between classes utilizing the techniques demonstrated.
Jackie Rutan has a B.S. in Fashion Design from Michigan State University. She was the Director of Sewing at Sakowitz, Inc. in Houston for 11 years, and is the author of The Perfect Fit.
