Quiet Roar, An Evening of Art & Fashion Inspired by Hello Kitty and benefiting Good Mews! May 16, 2009

Hello Kitty is putting that famous Quiet Roar to good use in a benefit for Good Mews Animal Foundation!

To be held on Saturday, May 16th from 7pm-midnight at the DooGallery, 205 Holtzclaw St, Unit I & J,Atlanta GA 30316 www.doogallery.com

The evening will feature a DJ, Fashion Show, Live Music, and Live Make-up Artistry. In addition, there will be works of art for sale based on the Hello Kitty theme. This event is hosted by Ms. Purrrrr (Shellie Schmals) and Mz. Meow (Christina Bibby).

Artwork will be available from several well known Atlanta artists, including Zachary Brown, who has prepared a special piece entitled Golden Girl, especially to benefit Good Mews.

Purchase tickets at the door ($15) or in advance ($10) at the www.goodmews.org Events Page. Advance tickets must be purchased by 5pm on Friday, May 15th.

100% of the ticket sales and 50% of the proceeds from art sales the night of the event will be donated to Good Mews Animal Foundation, 736 Johnson Ferry Rd. Suite A-3, Marietta, a local nonprofit organization which operates a volunteer based, no-kill shelter for homeless, abused and abandoned cats. The shelter provides a cage-free environment for its residents, offering them comfort and security while assertive adoption programs find them happy, loving homes. We have a strong commitment to the practice of spaying and neutering as the most important step in reducing the pet overpopulation problem. We also promote public awareness regarding the value of pets, animal welfare and quality human-animal companionship through educational and outreach programs.
