Queering Gender and Sexuality
Please join us as we bring cutting edge academic scholarship together with personal stories that question commonsense understandings of gender and sexuality. In this weekly speaker series held from March 4 through March 19, 2009 we will explore what it means to forge lives outside of the standard gender binary, the relationship between dichotomous gender categories and sexual desire, and the implications of nuanced theories of gender and sexuality for evolutionary theory.
We kickoff the series on…
March 4th
A personal account of gender transition by singer Alexander James Adams, Faerie Tale Minstrel of the Heatherlands sharing his personal story of transition entitled: "When Fantasy Meets Reality--Living Your Dream."
Each speaking event will be held on Pacific University’s Forest Grove Campus in 223 Jefferson Hall from 7-8pm. (See www.pacificu.edu for directions)
