Buzz, character, edge, authenticity, and soul are all part of what makes the Queen West neighborhood unique. From September 15 -17 , from Roncesvalles to Spadina, Artscape celebrates that spirit with the people of the Queen West community as they throw open their doors for the 4th annual Queen West Art Crawl - one of the largest multi-disciplinary, community-based festivals that Toronto has to offer. Most events are FREE. The Queen West Art Crawl – something for everyone and nothing quite like it!
Don’t miss the Friday opening night festivities at The Gladstone Hotel where the Young Artist Showcase, Beauty Salon and Do It At The Gladstone events will kick-off the festival. Queen Street West becomes a lively street party on Saturday with the Outdoor Art Show & Sale and Puppet Project taking place at Trinity-Bellwoods Park. Later that evening, Parkdale streets and storefronts brim with edgy performance exhibitions during The Red Light Project. And your typical quiet Sunday is sassed up with the continuation of Queen West Art Crawl events such as Short Docs Rock!, ROMwalks Guided Tour of Historic Parkdale, Happenings at 401 Richmond, The Bubble Wrap Show and Artist Open Studios.
The FREE Queen West Art Crawl Guide provides comprehensive listings of all participating artists, galleries, events and locations, and is available at Queen Street West community partner venues and participating businesses, and will be available at the Outdoor Art Show & Sale at Trinity Bellwoods Park on Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17. A full list of artists, events and locations is also available on Artscape's website at www.torontoartscape.on.ca/qwac
