Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Queen GodIs is one of the most gifted and dynamic spoken word artists of our time. Her work incorporates Hip Hop, soul, rock and even some theater. Her celebrated debut album, 'Power U!' highlights GodIs as producer, engineer, MC and vocalist. Her poetry has been featured live at HBO's 'Def Poetry Jam,' Robert Townsend's 'Spoken' and appears on two major releases by Afro-European singing duo Les Nubians.
