VCU's Guitar and Other Strings Series returns for its 18th year, again featuring nationally acclaimed artists in concerts and a workshop. Quatro na Bossa, Richmond's favorite bossa nova band, will open the series, performing on Friday, July 9 at 7:30p. Drawing from Brazil's most popular composers and performers, Quatro na Bossa's repertoire includes familiar classics as well as some original material in the bossa nova style. The group features VCU guitar faculty Kevin Harding, vocalist Laura Ann Singh, VCU alum Rusty Farmer on bass, and Robert Jospe on percussion. Admission is $10. Members of QNB will also join series host Prof. John Patykula on "Good Morning Virginia (WTVR-TV) on Thursday, July 8.
