Einstein was in part responsible for the development of the powerful and beautiful ideas of quantum mechanics, but was never able to accept its 'weirdness'. Arjendu Pattanayak will use demonstrations and animations to discuss some of these ideas, including how this spooky behavior underlies our everyday reality, and how we are still struggling to understand quantum behavior.
This event is free and open to all and was made possible with funding by an outreach grant from NOVA's "Einstein's Big Idea."
