Push, Pull, Resist: Christian Benefiel at 1708 Gallery October 28, 2011

1708 Gallery is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition Push, Pull, Resist featuring the interactive work of Christian Benefiel. In this exhibit, Benefiel’s inflatable works, made from reclaimed marine materials, invite the audience to participate, blurring the lines between artist, art, and viewer. “The Forms suggest a playful purpose, an intentional nonsense and a methodical balance between tedium, activity and entertainment.” 1708 welcomes you to attend the opening reception on October 28, 2011 from 6pm to 8pm and enjoy a talk by the artist at 6:30 as well as hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Benefiel’s work will be on display through Saturday, December 3.
