The Boston Globe's own public records guru, Sean Murphy, will share his expertise with fellow journalists during this exclusive 2-hour workshop. He'll provide tips on drafting request letters, dealing with public officials and other tricks of the trade.
Sean is not only a reporter....he's also an attorney with extensive knowledge of the state's public records law. At the Globe, he's used this law to get access to countless pages of documents for investigative stories on the Big Dig, Massport, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, and government officials.
The seminar is open to all journalists and students. Admission is free, and refreshments will be served. Pre-registration is required.
