Public Powwow in the Hocking Hills-Honoring Chief Logan July 31, 2010

Inter-tribal event honoring a Native American hero from the past - Chief Logan of the Mingo tribe on the eastern frontier - will present history and traditions. The powwow will feature Native American drums, food, dancers and vendors (including jewelry, art, crafts and clothing). Powwow proceeds will help Special Friends of Hocking County (program similar to Big Brother/Big Sisters).

This is a family event, so no alcohol, drugs or large dogs are permitted. Bring lawn chairs and blankets. Free primitive public on-site camping is available. All Native American dancers and drummers are welcome, as are pre-1840's re-enactors.
