Public Object: Facing Contemporary Challenges in the Art Museum February 1, 2008

What is the primary responsibility of today's art museum? Is it to audiences or to objects? Beginning with these questions, a panel of curators and art historians will address the challenges art museums are facing and will consider how collections of historical objects can work as thinking spaces for the present and the future.
