An Environmental Assessment has been prepared to evaluate the social, economic, and environmental aspects of proposed improvements to the Ann Arbor Municipal Airport. The proposed improvements focus on improving and extending Runway 6/24, the primary runway, to address the needs of the existing critical aircraft that use the airport. Alternatives were developed to provide options for extending the existing 3,500 runway to 4,300 feet, while extending the existing parallel taxiway to the same length.

This Public Hearing is called in accordance with current Federal and State Public Involvement/Public Hearing procedures. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to present the findings of the Environmental Assessment, review the Preferred Alternative, and to solicit input from interested citizens regarding the social, economic, and environmental impacts of the proposed improvements. Maps, drawings and other pertinent information, including the Environmental Assessment document, will be available for public review. During the Public Hearing, a court reporter will be available to record oral testimony. Written comments or any other material, may also be submitted during the Public Hearing or may be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed to the following address. All comments must be received by 5:00 p.m. April 12, 2010 to be included in the study record.
