There is an increasing amount of UK and international evidence that demonstrates the beneficial effects of engagement with arts and creativity on health and wellbeing. However there is currently no national art and health repository which offers free access to an organised, comprehensive and up-to-date evidence base which can be used to support arts and health/wellbeing initiatives.
The University of Salford wishes to reflect its commitment to the development of the arts and health agenda by working with the plethora of existing regional and local arts and health networks to develop a live national repository for both arts and health activities and research.
The launch will include a presentation from Richard Parish, Royal Society of Public Health, followed by a drinks reception.
