Actually, there's never really a dead-set start time... it's usually just "as soon as you can escape the office". 8pm just happens to be the default setting in upcoming.
Don't let that put you off though!

Looks like I wont be able to make it for the majority of the evening as a friends got a spare ticket for a gig.
Luckily it's at the Astoria so I'm 5 minutes away so i'll try and pop in!
