This month we will be exploring the SUSE Linux desktop:

Customize the desktop - background, screen saver, toolbar
Configure the network card - configure addressing (static or dynamic)
Configure "Evolution" to send and receive email
How to use the Add-On CD
Set up XGL
Use the OpenOffice suite
If you have other topics you would like included in this or future sessions please Email serreze@foxinternet.net

We will have SuSE 10.2 installed on the systems in the classroom. If you would like to bring your own system to install SuSE on, assistance will be available during the afternoon "lab" session.

Niles Nay will be coming too. We will both probably bring our laptops. Other items we would like to see discussed include getting wireless cards to work (especially HP notebooks with Broadcom drivers), installing the new Open Office 2.1 and handling situations where users are coexisting with Vista.
