Inspiring Kids to Dream Big!

Do you remember who inspired you as a child? Was it a teacher, doctor, or
journalist, or maybe a professional who came to speak at your school? We invite you to be that inspiration. Different speakers will to talk to students about
his or her career

Historically, PS/IS 308 has sponsored a job fair, invited
professionals to speak with children or read to classrooms. This year, the goal is to have a week-long
celebration (May 26-29) of speakers from various industries. Each industry will have their own day and
speakers will present to two to three classes.
All grades will participate.
Volunteer speakers will not receive compensation, rather each will be
given a certificate of appreciation and have their name submitted for a
Presidential Volunteer Service Award (www.presidentialserviceawards.gov).

30th there will be a job fair in collaboration with community
partners.

Weather
permitting there will be an outdoor job fair with educational/career readiness workshops,
college recruitment and space set aside for on the spot interviews.
