Calgary Chapter of The Council of Canadians is pleased to present a public forum:

Dr. Preston McEachern will present on the Alberta Environment policies in place for protecting, monitoring, and restoring the environment.

His presentation will update us on the current environmental status of the Fort McMurray area, and the quality and quantity of water in the Athabasca River.

He will comment on future technologies (like carbon sequestration) and their potential implications for curbing global warming.

Dr. McEachern will also discuss "myths and mis-information that organizations like the COC spread, which are not helpful in the on-going public discussion."

Note: Dr. Preston McEachern is not a MLA, so he does not set the political policy.
