ProArteDanza's Summer Intensive Program: Performance 2009 August 29, 2009

The culmination of a four-week, intensive training program with ProArteDanza; 15 emerging young artists will perform new creations and works from the company’s repertoire.

Works presented will include: a new creation by ProArteDanza company member and flourishing choreographer Ryan Lee; and a new creation by Lacey Smith, a participant in the inaugural Summer Intensive Program in 2008 and the winner of the 2008 national choreographic competition at Les Grand Ballet Canadiens.

The program will also feature the first movement of “Beethoven 9” the much-praised work created by Roberto Campanella and Robert Glumbek in June of 2009 for the Festival de Danse Encore in Trois RIvieres. This work will receive its full Toronto premiere at ProArteDanza’s Season 2009 at the Fleck Dance Theatre on October 14.
