Hampshire County Council is launching ‘Nelson’s Trail’ at Buckler’s Hard in Beaulieu as part of the culture-all campaign. The culture-all campaign is focusing on ‘Defence of the Realm’ throughout January and Nelson’s Trail follows some of the county’s most famous landmarks linked to Britain’s greatest naval hero, Lord Nelson.
A re-enactment group from the Groundlings Theatre Company will provide entertainment throughout the morning and act out scenes from Nelson’s most famous battles.
You are invited to:
o Photograph the re-enactment group and general public who come along in Nelson-themed fancy dress
o Interview with Hampshire County Council spokesperson
o Explore the village where ships for ‘Nelson’s navy’ were built
o Learn about Nelson’s adventures at The Maritime Museum
