WVSU and the Preserve Jazz Festival are again teaming up to present a special, intimate evening of jazz at Samford University's elegant Brock Recital Hall. The 2012 Preserve Jazz Prelude features Alex Bugnon and the Eric Essix Band in a special event in support of the Rev. John T. Porter Minority Scholarship at Samford. Last year's inaugural event generated more than $10,000 for the fund!
Tickets are on sale now for the Prelude, which will be held Saturday, June 2 at 7 p.m., to be followed the next day by the 6th Annual Preserve Jazz Festival at The Preserve in Hoover, starring Kirk Whalum. The Festival has again generously donated a festival ticket for each Prelude attendee!
