Premiere: Sigur Ros: Heima + Sigur Ros Live November 5, 2007

"In July of 2005, Sigur Ros left their homeland of Iceland to tour their now iconic album Takk. A year later they returned, firmly established as one of the most influential bands on the planet, and immediately undertook a two-week free tour of Iceland. Heima, Icelandic for 'at home' or 'homeland', is a stunning record of those two weeks featuring performances of songs from all four Sigur Ros albums, many radically reworked, as well as two exclusive new songs - Guitardjamm, which was filmed inside an abandoned herring oil tank in the far west of the country, and the traditional A Ferd Til Breidarfjardar 1922, performed with poet Steindor Andersen. We are also thrilled to welcome Sigur Ros to the BFI Southbank stage to play a short acoustic set of songs old and new. Presented in association with IGIG TV and Shooting People."
