Prairie Seed Collecting August 28, 2011

As summer gives way to fall, prairie seeds begin to ripen. Participants, guided by Maywood staff, will help us collect prairie seed for future prairie development projects. Participants will be allowed to take a portion home to plant their own prairie. Learn about Wisconsin prairie ecology and the significance of prairies in our variety of state habitats. Maywood will provide collection containers, but participants will come prepared for August weather. Pre-register by calling 920.459.3906.
