A meet-up for programmers, web developers and designers to discuss and showcase their "£5 apps" - lightweight software created by one or two people who take a simple idea and run with it.
The discussion will range from technical (what tools/languages were used during development) to business (building communities, spreading the word, costs and rewards).
Rupert Loman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rupert_Loman) of EuroGamer (http://www.eurogamer.net/) talks about how:
... we turned a self-funded garage-based enterprise into a company competing (nearly) head to head with established media businesses by harnessing the power of community and collaborations.
This is the first £5app of the new year, after a brief post-xmas holiday.

Cheers Danny. We were just getting round to sorting that out, so we'll most likely take you up on that offer.
We'll also probably have a short piece from Rosie on ProjectBrighton and a piece from Dom on 'Why you should tell people about your work, ideas, dreams and aspirations' (or '10 big ideas that could have gotten you $2m+ in funding but someone else did them first… sh#t’).
And the usual beer and cake, obviously :-)
Ian.
Sorry, I can no longer make it.
Bugger. Going to have to drop out. Too little time in the week.

If you're short of a venue, then No. 13 is available again.
