A meet-up for programmers, web developers and designers to discuss and showcase their "£5 apps" - lightweight software created by one or two people who take a simple idea and run with it.
The discussion will range from technical (what tools/languages were used during development) to business (building communities, spreading the word, costs and rewards).
Darren Fell (http://www.linkedin.com/in/darrenfell) will be talking about founding Pure (http://pure360.com/) and his new venture Crunch (http://www.crunch.co.uk/), which is a web service that offers:
"Ridiculously Easy Accounting for Freelancers, Contractors and Consultants"
As well as Darren, Andrew Gill will also be along to talk about ChatBadge (http://chatbadge.com/):
"... a new web-based chat service purpose-built to help convert website visitors into customers and support existing customers better"
Richard Dallaway (http://blog.spiralarm.com/richard/) will be talking about Taykt (http://taykt.com/), a web site that let's you use SMS short codes for...well, whatever you like, really. He'll explain what it is, why it was built, and what they've discovered from building a product for themselves, rather than a client.
Plus Ben Sauer (http://www.redbeard.org.uk/) will be talking about a technique for learning a new language in two minutes a day.
