UNM Continuing Education invites you to join us on a one day tour of three pottery studios in Northern New Mexico. Sunridge Pottery includes Frank Willett’s award winning work in porcelain and stoneware. His collaborative work with Luisa Baldinger features white stoneware with her on-glaze landscape decoration. Blue Yee combines her love of cooking in porcelain pieces suitable for table. Kathy Riggs and Jake Willson in Ojo Sarco have shown their one-of-a-kind and functional porcelain nationally in galleries and juried shows since 1976. Nausika Richardson, near Dixon, is nationally and locally exhibited, has potted since 1975, and does functional majolica pottery which is decorated with free brush styles and vibrant colors. This tour departs from the UNM Continuing Education east parking lot, located at 1634 University Blvd. NE in Albuquerque, NM on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 8am and will return at 6pm. The $87 tuition fee includes transportation and lunch at Embudo Station. For more information visit dce.unm.edu/story-of-new-mexico.htm or call Joan Cok at 505-277-0563.
