Seven Artists that Explore the Paradoxes of Civilization... A group exhibition featuring the works of Pepa Poch, George Rodez, Gonzalo Obes, Heather Brillant, Matt Lamb, Josep Puigmartí, and AdriáNomada.
Real Circulo Artistico de Barcelona (RCA) presents "Post-Human. Good-bye to Mankind." as a first ever exhibition outside of Barcelona and in conjunction with Art Basel-Miami.
. . . Man is something that shall be surpassed. . .
Friedrich Nietzsche
…These are poetics that question the civilizing paradigm and they are included as part of a speech that articulates diverse forms of fusion and Post-Utopian connections (the existential, the instrumental, the political and the anthropological), but not on the side of rationality but on the side of chance; a vindication of the failure, a transcendental fault (...) Without doubt in a momentary lapse of time, mankind will suddenly be scalable like a machine, once completed its genomic cartography… this can even occur in different types of cyborg or unsuspected subsequent mutant transformations between the instrument and its flesh "(de)naturalized"(...) cleared, rearmed and redone in/from bionic assemblies where the body and the entire "Being" will be able to be replaced by a Total Prosthesis which will happen in-line with other phenomena connected with the body, like Carnal Tragedies... a Nuclear Park and/or a Museum of the Negativity...
