A Support Group for individuals with a Hereditary Form of Breast & Ovarian Cancer. This is a Beaumont-sponsored support group for individuals with a BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutation causing Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer syndrome. The meeting is a way to meet other women, men, and family members who carry a BRCA mutation, connect, and learn about the topics concerning BRCA carriers. Positively Empowered provides emotional support, education, and the connection to help individuals with a BRCA mutation cope with the diagnosis of a predisposition to develop breast, ovarian, male breast, prostate, or pancreatic cancers.
