Portrait Painting Classes September 21, 2010

Painting from a live model, the focus of this course will be on value-based painting and drawing methods to create expressive, professional level portraits. Students will paint two finished portraits over each four week session of classes, along with several drawing and painting exercises. Principals of organic composition, responsive drawing, expressive use of color, edges, paint quality, along with the development of an effective palette (the "power palette"), will be covered. Participants can expect lots of individual attention here.
