Portland Riverfest Willamette Species Parade August 30, 2008

Sponsored by the Willamette River Fun(d) of the Oregon Community Foundation, this will be a roughly 2.5 hour performance-based parade featuring people or human-powered floats.

A cooperative effort between Gallery Homeland and Northwest Service Academy members the parade will celebrate river species. Free, informal workshops prior to the parade will help participants create costumes and gear-up their human-powered vehicles.
