Raised in two different parts of the country and on two different styles of music, Bryan Vanderpool and Sarah Adams combined their styles, talents and influences to form Portiko in the winter of 07. Bryan braved the college scene at Northeastern University only to spend most of his time writing, producing, and recording music for himself and others. While Sarah was pursuing a music career of her own, Bryan began a recording project involving the duo and there was an instant connection. With vocals that blend, and a music style that instantly set them apart in the Boston folk scene, Portikos name and fan base bloomed in only weeks after its conception and continues to rise with every performance.
