The Port St. Lucie Anglers Club announces the Club will be moving to its new venue December 9th.
In cooperation with the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens all Club meetings will now be held at the Botanical Gardens on the Second Thursday of each month at 7pm. The Club and the Botanical Gardens will work together to provide Kids Fishing tournaments during the year at the pond adjacent to the main building at the Botanical Gardens.
Club Secretary Paul Bender who negotiated the contract with the Botanical Gardens says, “The new arrangement will benefit both the Port St. Lucie Anglers Club and the Botanical Gardens. The community activities of both groups will provide increased opportunities for the residents of the city to become better acquainted with the fishing opportunities throughout the Treasure Coast while providing additional recognition to the contributions the Botanical Gardens is making to the community though its educational and outreach programs.
The main building of the Gardens offers additional resources for fishing expert speakers at the PSL Anglers Club meetings including audio visual aids and opportunities for demonstrations of fishing techniques on the adjacent pond.
The inaugural meeting of the PSL Anglers Club at the Botanical Gardens will be Thursday December 9th at 7pm. The Club is honored to have as its first speaker at the Botanical Gardens, Henry Ciamotto of the Snook Nook in Jensen Beach. Henry is probably the foremost keeper of fishing information on the Treasure Coast and a longtime supporter of environmental issues in the area. He has also been an ardent supporter of the PSL Anglers Club and is a most fitting first speaker at the new site of the Club's meetings.
All are welcome to attend and refreshments are always served.
