The Women’s Association, an affiliate group of The Lorain County Historical Society will host their first Porch Sale on September 11 and September 12 at The Hickories Museum at 509 Washington Avenue, Elyria, OH 44035. Items such as decorative objects, antiques, jewelry, up-to-date and vintage clothing and the like have been donated by LCHS members and community members for the sale.

The Women's Association of the Lorain County Historical Society is committed to using their talents, energies and skills to help fulfill LCHS’s mission to collect, preserve, interpret and present the history of Lorain County. They help with educational programs for children and adults, conduct museum tours, do conservation work on the museum's collection, help in the office, and garden.
The Women's Association currently pledges $4,000 annually toward the general operating expenses of LCHS and also provides support for special projects through various fundraising events. They also host a book study group called "Off Campus Studies" by Case Western Reserve University. The discussion groups are open to all; a fee is charged for participation.
