Youngsters may be more careful about what they wish for in future if they go to Alton’s Public Gardens on Friday 4th June, for a free outdoor performance of Poppy Wild’s Magical Machine by the Proteus Theatre Company.
After the success of last year’s little persons’ adventure ‘The Lost Toy’ and this winter’s eccentric ‘The Princess and the Pea’, Director Mary Swan has produced another fast, funny and interactive show especially designed for little people with big imaginations, and their parents!
Starting at 2pm, Poppy Wild’s Magical Machine is a big-hearted show for younger audiences about being careful what you wish for and valuing what you already have. Using storytelling, puppetry and balloon modelling to help tell the story, the 50-minute show touches upon the important issues of the environment, transport and family.
So come and see what happens when Poppy’s dreams become a reality – nothing will ever be quite the same again!
Ideal for youngsters aged 3 – 7 years, this is the second time that Alton Town Council has arranged entertainment for children in the summer half-term holiday and in the event of very poor weather, the show will take place in Alton Assembly Rooms.
