Lawry’s The Prime Rib (100 E. Ontario St.) will ring in 2012 with a Pop-Up Opera New Year’s Eve Dinner featuring a four course prix fixe menu including sparkling spirits, and live entertainment. The menu is as follows:
Overture: Champagne Aria, Tasting of Three Selections or Chopin Meat & Potatoes Martini.
Interlude: Alpine Swiss & Valais Wine Soup, Demi Tasse Style served with Sourdough Bread. Classical Salad Course: Lawry’s Famous Spinning Bowl Salad served with Lawry’s Vintage Dressing or Champagne Vinaigrette. Intermezzo: Concord & Champagne Sorbet.
Compositions with Accompaniments: Prime Ribs of Beef (8 oz. cut), Whipped Cream Horseradish, Yorkshire Pudding, Mashed Potatoes, Creamed Spinach & Creamed Corn or Pan Seared Diver Sea Scallops, Buerre Monte served with French Green Lentils, Champagne Poached Artichokes & Fennel or Blackened Salmon, Pinot Noir served with Fingerling Potatoes & Charred Vegetables or White Wine Risotto Butternut Squash, Baby Leeks, Pine Nuts & Parmesan Cheese. A vegetarian entrée selection is also available.
Fanfare Served with Dolce Dessert Wine: Symphony Chocolate Pie or Opera Torte or Strawberry English Trifle.
